Sun protection donations needed for Tanzania

08 February 2010

The Albinism Fellowship of Australia (AFA) is running a charity drive to collect sunglasses, sunscreen and hats (both children and adults) for people with albinism in Tanzania. The AFA will be sending collected goods at the end of February to Tanzania.

There are over 200,000 people in Tanzania with albinism and many who suffer horribly from sunburn and skin cancers due to inadequate protection from the sun.

How you can help

Drop off any sun protection items such as sunhats, sunglasses and sunscreen (must have current use by date) into the donation bins at he office receptions at Enfield, Carinbah or Kensington (Macaulay Rd).

The last day of collection is the end of February for the shipment to be delivered to Tanzania in mid-March.

Thank you for your contributions.
